Stara Planina (“Old Mountain”)

Uzice, March 18, 2010 (Serbia Today) - Stara Planina is one of the most precious tourist offers of Serbia, and is the highest mountain in the East part of Serbia. It is a natural border towards Bulgaria, and is located 330 km away from Belgrade, 100 km from Zajecar, 70 km from Nis, and 50 km from Pirot or Knjazevac. The highest top of this mountain-Midzor-is located at 2169 meters over sea level.
Whether you choose to vacation on this mountain during summer or winter, you will always enjoy in the magic of its nature. During wintertime, the famous top Babin zub (at 1780 m over sea level) offers a four-seat ski lift and four ski lanes connected in directions North-Northwest.
