Querry secures victory at Serbia open
Belgrade, May, 13. 2010 (Serbia today) - A US player Sam Querrey triumphed at the second ATP tournament Serbia Open beating John Isner 3-6, 7-6 (7-4), 6-4 in Belgrade on Sunday to win the Serbia Open final. A favorite of local audiences Novak Djokovic had dropped out in the quarter-finals. The 22nd-seeded Querrey won his fourth title. With victory in Belgrade, he won 250 points and EUR 67,430, while Isner gained 150 points and EUR 35,400. In an all-unseeded doubles final Sunday at the Serbia Open 2010 , Santiago Gonzalez and Travis Rettenmaier won their first ATP World Tour doubles title with a 7-6(8-6), 6-1 victory over Polish duo Tomasz Bednarek and Mateusz Kowalczyk. Top-ranked Serbian tennis player Novak Djokovic said that he to default the match in the quarter-finals to Philip Krajinovic. Due to allergies, he won't play at a tournament in Madrid. The total prize fund of the Serbia Open was EUR 425,000, and tournament was attended by tens of thousands of people.
