Preparations for Serbia Open
Belgrade, April 25. 2010 (Serbia Today) - Preparations for the Serbia Open ATP Tennis Tournament are near the end and everything seems to be ready for this biggest tennis event on the Balkans according to tournament director Goran Djokovic. Djokovic had mentioned some improvements at the Tennis Center where the tournament will take place: "This year we have devoted much more attention to the organization of the tournament. We expanded the field, which is now the same size as at Roland Garros. We have 9500 seats for the public, which is 1,000 more than last year." Serbian tennis player Viktor Troicki praised the changes on the playground, where he already had several trainings: "It looks better and I hope that the tournament will be better. The list of players is very strong and I am sure that this will be a great tournament. With the support of our public we will achieve good results. " Serbia Open will be held from May 9-15 at the Tennis Center “Milan Gale Muskatirovic”. Some of the players that will take part in the tournament are Novak Djokovic, Viktor Troicki, Janko Tipsarevic, Nenad Zimonjic and Americans John Izner and Sam Querrey, Spaniard Fernando Verdasco, Croat Ivo Karlovic, Russian Igor Andreev and many others.
