Novi Sad, Nov.23, 2009 (Serbia Today) – The long awaited opening concert by one of the most popular singers in Serbia and the region, Aleksandra Radovic, took place on Saturday evening, not in Belgrade, as it was originally scheduled, but in Novi Sad at the SPENS business sports center.
The concert, originally scheduled to take place in Belgrade, was moved to Novi Sad in accordance with the events surrounding the funeral of Serbian Patriarch Pavle, earlier in the week. Radovic’s tour organizers, M. Factory from Belgrade, was forced to reschedule Radovic’s concerts last week, along with concert organizers across Serbia, in observance of the passing of the Serbian Church’s Patriarch.
The concert in Novi Sad this weekend had to serve as the tour opener for Radovic. She filled the first two hours of her performance with many of her well known hits, and songs from their new album ‘Zar Ptica’ (Bird of Fire). The audience gave the biggest response when she sang the hits ‘Kao so u moru’ (Like salt in the sea), ‘Ako ikada’ (If Ever), ‘Jos Danas’ (One more Day), and ‘Karta za Jug’ (Map of the South).
Belgrade concerts for the 18th and 19th of November, have been moved to December 1st and December 5th.
Radovic will also perform in Stara Pazova November 25th, Valjevo November 26th, Nis November 27th, Subotica December 3rd, Cacak December 4th.
